Prompt: Your character is looking for an escape from the harsh realities of life. Write a roleplay about how your character traveled from their home to Everblue Springs.
She’d had enough. Enough of the people she worked with and enough of the customers. Why did I think being a graphic designer was a good choice? She wondered to herself. At any rate it was too late. She already had the degree and spent the last four years of her life attending school. “Miss Jones your next client is here to see you.” her secretary said. With a sigh she nodded as she looked at the clock. Eleven. Five hours before she could go home. “Let her in.” she said.
“You know what I’m taking my vacation. I can’t take it anymore.” she shouted. Apparently she had been rude to a customer . She hadn’t had a vacation once in her life that she can remember. Now is as good a time as any to take it. “when will you return?” “I don’t know.” she said. Grabbing her bag out of her office she walked past all her nosy coworkers. Glaring at them all she lifted her middle finger as she went out the door.
Maybe I won’t have a job to return to when I get back. At this point she didn’t care. Hopping into her car she drove home and checked her mail. Going through the pile her eyes fell on an ad. Everblue Springs. Without a second thought she packed her bags and got the directions. Getting into the car she started it up. “Everblue Springs here I come.” she said as she backed out of the driveway. For now all she was going to concentrate on was relaxing and enjoying herself.
Stopping only to rest and get something to eat she arrived early the next morning. Gathering her thoughts she stepped out of the vehicle and looked around for the owner’s cabin. Spotting it she trudged through the snow until she came to the front door of the cabin. Knocking she waited for the owner to answer. Katie could only hope that this was a good place for here to take her vacation. Who knew maybe she might even get the inspiration to start her own graphic design business.
“Maybe good things will come of my vacation." she said as she waited.
